They make matte and satin too! Definitely a preference thing.

Thanks! Usually some kind of spray gloss varnish like Liquitex, Windsor and Newton, Krylon. Something meant for acrylics and has UV protection. I use Liquitex brush on varnish sometimes too.

Seriously, creative folks: Don't be afraid to let people know your stuff is out there for them, or worry that "now is not the time for that." People are stressed and freaked out and looking for the things that will give them a moment of rest and joy. It is EXACTLY the time for what we do. Tell them.

For acrylics I like anything smooth!! But I’m forcing myself to embrace the texture of canvas too. For watercolor I actually prefer the bumpy grainy texture of cold press.
