Cruelty is not courage, its emboldened cowardice with violence to avoid compassion and understanding. Real strength doesn't lie in aggression, but in the time and effort to understand the other, especially in the face of adverstity.

They don't understand It's not a choice. They don't have the empathy to even consider that it could have been them. All they have is contempt for the other and the unknown. Homogeny and familiarity are their only comfort for those fears and their own resistance to growth

Imagine if the Supreme Court said you have the right to TORTURE A STRAIGHT KID until they turn Gay.

Some people think that their level of understanding is some kind of prerequisite to how much they're supposed to care.

I don't always understand, but I care anyway.

All the videos we see of ICE/police/military assaulting people on camera are happening because they know they will face no consequences for their actions. They're breaking the law because they believe the law no longer applies to them. What kept them in check before was fear. Now they have none.

If I could leave the Catholic faith after 30 years of being raised in it due to their support, cover up and shuffling around of pedophiles, then what's stopping Republicans?

Picked up a copy of @magpiegames.bsky.social Urban Shadows and Masks recently. I'm looking forward to experiencing and maybe running these in the future
