My opinion is whatever you already think unless you are a damned fool in which case I disagree with you wholeheartedly.

But because the vast majority of calls I've answered since I had a Saturday job in a shop at 14 have been for my current workplace, my main automation is to say "Hello, CompanyName" when I pick up the phone. And to hate the sound of the phone ringing.

I've been getting a ton of scam calls from different mobile numbers lately and when I think it's one of those I just answer the phone and don't speak. Then when they hang up I block the number. As kids we were taught to bark "hello who is it" when we answered.
