It should be, especially in upcoming elections. If they still hold them. If not, it could be our battle cry.

I have never done that. I spend too much time creating original content to echo somebody else’s.

I can’t be cavalier about the 4th unfortunately. There are amateur pyrotechnicians in the neighborhood whose fireworks land on my roof, and I have to call the Fire Department if necessary. It makes it hard to enjoy the show, and I never thought it was patriotic. Meh.

Thank god. I personally support trans women who are disabled from long Covid and afraid of what could happen to them as the fascist regime closes in. I would do the same for you if it came to that. When you have a chance, take a look at my Substack. I’m the real thing.

Thank you, Courtney. Those of us who are writers (my publishing activity is on Substack) are duty bound to include our messages in our work, even if it’s “be kind and empathetic” — and craft characters who embody that.

Since the only friends I have are either right here or unabashed liberals in real life, they vote, and how. I don’t know what I’d do if any of them goes MAGA. But I don’t imagine they will.

A bit extreme, but you have a right to be angry, as I do. Not that I have any immunity to the revenge of the regime, but I’m concentrating on my support of trans people (YES, ALL OF YOU ARE PEOPLE, AND ENTITLED TO LOVE, RECOGNITION, RESPECT, AND SAFETY) and even supporting individuals personally.

1/ This is an incredible resource. Most of the trans fiction books on Amazon aren’t of the best quality. Either they are “excessively erotic” (i.e. skimpy plot, 1D characters) or very short form. I want to represent trans characters in my books, accurately and lovingly.

Sling is off for at least a week now. Still having pain if I do something I shouldn’t. I haven’t done much writing (it’s mostly on Substack).

But I have done a lot of falling. I was checked out — brain is OK. But was afraid to go to a No Kings or Pride rally. Bummer.

When I couldn’t mow my lawn (as required by HOA) on the hottest day of the year, I was told to “hire someone”.

I refused to subject another human being to do something dangerous that I wouldn’t do.

Non-human animals wouldn’t do it either. They are more ethical than we are.

I’ve been contributing to Substack and neglecting Bluesky, which has been the wellspring of my thoughts, feelings, and opinions. It’s still a place where caring people congregate and boost each other’s morale when there is so much to drag it down. My long essays on Substack are fruit of this.

From the frying pan into the fire — I was celebrating my newly recovered ability to walk, at a special event at the zoo. Then I fell. Broke my left arm at the shoulder.

I could at least type stuff into the computer before this break. Now it’s too hard to be a regular thing.

For those of you who are holding your breath, my healing has accelerated. I generally walk around the house without my cane. In fact, I can’t find it when I need it. I have to put an Air Tag on it.
