Excellent album, very English with a couple of moments of quirkiness. Remind me of The Kinks although musically very different. Only downside is I'm not a fan of the drummer on the up tempo tracks, he's fine when restrained.

As far as turntables are concerned, I looked at Amazon.uk & Amazon.com and their seems to be little difference between the UK and US. In the 'suitcase' options it appears a bit cheaper in the US and the 'separates' slightly more expensive in the US, about 10% in this example.

From what I can gather, LPs and CDs are or should be exempt from tariffs as they fall under the informational materials exemption. It seems to be a bit of a lottery though as from what I can gather from my American friends, some get charged and some don't.

Google results for 'Vinyl Sales 2025' seem to overwhelmingly contradict that and indicate continuing growth. I've not slowed down and don't see that changing. Also seeing an increasing number of posts from people who have just bought their first record players is encouraging. UK anyway is doing OK.

Depends on budget. Cheapest would be a 'suitcase' turntable for less than Β£50. As I like Audio Technica then for under Β£250 you can get this bundle, which you could later improve with an amplifier. I had a quick look at Amazon.com and to put this bundle together looks as if it would be around $350
