If you want to build a bunch of AI data centers, and also pull the rug out from under the wind, solar + battery industries that contributed **94%** of all new generation last year, you're gonna end up with an energy affordability crisis.

But even if the EPA and Trump Administration break their promises to hardworking Americans, we won't. This is not the end of our road.
03.09.2025 18:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Every day of delay bleeds value. A retrofit not installed means another summer of unbearable bills. A pump not delivered means another year of hauling water. A roof not secured means another tarp, another moldy wall, another child growing up in a house that never dries. A dollar spent today prevents five dollars in damage tomorrow. A dollar withheld compounds harm. The storm does not wait for petitions. The fire does not wait for oral arguments. The flood does not wait for a courtβs sense of timing.
As Matt Watkins writes in @commondreams.org, the delay isn't just about @climateunited.bsky.social or federal contracts or even appeals courts. It's about the EPA gaslighting us about the crisis we're facing, and Trump Administration executive overreach.
www.commondreams.org/opinion/cour...
There's a term for this: predatory delay.
Americans face an affordability crisis, with energy costs skyrocketing, and storms and fires forcing millions of families across the country to choose between paying rent, energy, food or medicine.
Meanwhile, the Trump Admin delays funding for solutions.
But the Trump Admin apparently doesn't want Americans to benefit from lower energy bills, less pollution, and good-paying jobs. Instead, EPA drags this case on, freezing funds + terminating awards (illegal), accusing awardees of fraud (false), and putting red tape up for clean energy projects.
03.09.2025 18:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The funding that EPA froze was intended to lower energy costs, spur U.S. manufacturing, and create jobs across the country. Not just a little bit - A LOT MORE:
π°$52 billion in household energy savings
π·ββοΈ41,000 more jobs annually
π€$23 billion in wages earned
πEnough solar to power 2.2m homes annually
Yesterday, a U.S. Court of Appeals panel ruled 2-1 to vacate a lower court's injunction barring EPA from clawing back billions in critical clean energy funding that @climateunited.bsky.social & others were awarded last yr. Here's how this decision could hurt hardworking Americans across the US π§΅
03.09.2025 18:19 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0π¨ BREAKING: U.S. Court of Appeals just ruled in favor of EPA's efforts to claw back billions of GGRF dollars that were legally obligated and disbursed last year.
This is another hurdle in our fight to lower energy costs for the families and hardworking Americans who need it most.
The number one cause of death for whales off the NY/NJ coast is getting hit by large, fast-moving container ships.
Blocking wind farms will kill thousands of jobs and increase electricity costs for hardworking Americans while doing nothing to save π
Why? Businesses know that renewables are the cheapest and fastest way to add new power capacity to meet increasing demand. Along with efficiency, grid upgrades, and new tech like virtual power plants, geothermal and nuclear, we can avoid the impending energy affordability crisis. LFG!
