It's a long boring day of paperwork, so I'm sustaining myself on massive quantities of caffeine and the bass line of songs like this, LOL

I think it might be different here! We add a lot of "dough conditioners" to store-bought bread. The conditioners make it last a lot longer on the shelf--I can count on that lasting a week without mold, sometimes two--but it stays soft the whole time. If I tried to wet it, it'd just dissolve.

Tip: if you’ve made bread, say pepperoni rolls, a few days ago and it’s a little stale, you can revive the bread by quickly running it under some cold water and then putting it in a warm oven to both soften the inside and crisp the outside.

This does not work with store-bought bread.

I may say more later but part of what some of us need to understand is that the right has built an entirely distinct civic society, with its own hierarchy and (mostly networked) cultural institutions. That includes celebrity.

well this made me smile this morning:

Some songs swing, some won’t
Some songs got complicated melodies

vs, say, the AO3 house style, which often (but not always) involves an emphasis on character study and often the resulting interiority.

And, perhaps, a sense that the world is kind of inevitably happening to the character (maybe because of the known events in the world building.)

Just my two cents, but I think a lot of KU house style revolves around an almost exclusive focus on conversations, with short, simple declarative sentences and very little internal contemplation. They go here, they talk about a thing happening, they go there, they talk about a thing happening.

If there is an AO3 house style—and I definitely think there is—then I also think there is a Kindle Unlimited house style, and I have to say, it’s really weird to be reading one place and see the other.
