Definitely. Like you, I have a few exceptions to the rule. But most of the games I play are 2 years old, or more.

It helps me save money. Plus I don't have the free time I used to have - games last a lot longer for me, now.

I saved up for AGES to buy an N64. We went to pick it up, along with Ocarina of Time, from Electronics Boutique after lunch at my Grandma's.
I couldn't wait to get home and set it all up (I wasn't usually in a rush to leave grandma's)
I remember switching OoT on at home. It blew my friggin' mind.

It wasn't the first game that I enjoyed, but LoZ: A Link to the Past was the first game that occupied my mind when I wasn't playing it. I was terrible at it (I was 6 when I started it) but that's where my love of gaming started.

There are very few games I'd recommend more.

Hades is pretty much my favourite game from any decade.

Sea of Stars is the perfect mix of Chrono Trigger and Mario RPG, which hits just right for my nostalgia 😀
