added lines for the medium-level precipitation, and black for the red heavy precipitation levels -

Hard part is distinguishing between dark green, dark blue and dark red...still working on ideas here, though where the dark areas are inside the radar image sort of hint at which type they are. The simple all grayscale version should be online soon.

Cloud-native Geo may be the hot new thing but turns out a simple SQLite database with an r-tree spatial index (GPKG) works just fine even for 6 million features, on a cheap 4 core server. Plus it gives you search-as-you-type via fts5.

Flatgeobuf on-demand vector tiling performance on a $5 4-core server *almost* good enough. The FGB process uses http range requests with minimal latency as the data host is the web server not a cloud bucket. More/faster server cores (my m2 Mac) make it much more viable. #gis #gischat #webmaps #cng

Testing out SQLite FTS5 multi-field full-text search with a 6 million feature dataset on a $5 server for a web map experiment...and the performance is insane! 🤯 Part of larger personal project serving out statewide parcel data on a high permanent web map.

The modern day rampant and pervasive use, and tacit acceptance, of the confederate flag on everything from license plates to t-shirts to tattoos, especially throughout the Union states, says a lot. Imagine celebrating a war that divided a nation and killed over half a million people.

Are you in a way saying relying on historic decisions beyond our control has blinded us of the present day racism in and around housing? If so that has certainly been my experience - yeah the rent is cheap but you don't want to live *there* type of thing, e.g. current decisions by individual agents
