New addition. This banana thing just cracks me up.

I set my affiliate program to give 20% of the sales to the partner, but starting to think it’s not incentive enough given the low price point of my product. So i guess it depends: whatever will make affiliates do the work of promoting your product.

So say one does 0 to 5000 in 3 years, how does it look at the end of year 1 and 2? Is it linear? Does it accelerate?

Every year, I challenge myself to read 25 books, and although I've succeeded every year since 2019, I'm not sure I'll be able to this year... 18 done, 7 to go.

I spent a couple hours yesterday writing content ideas for social posts for Listadum.

I focused on these categories (mostly carousel type posts):
- tops
- yes or no
- fun facts (although sometimes it's just facts)
- it's in the data
- hot takes

I found 88 ideas, time to write now!

Isn’t it a simple redirect? Most domain providers offer redirects for free. Problem come if you want to reply with the custom email instead of your personal.

At the end of their registration, I ask new users where they heard about Listadum. Interestingly it's becoming more and more diverse, which means my efforts spreading the word are paying.

For Listadum, I’m proudly sharing my real 4.75/5 rating based on actual reviews. Let’s be honest, not every review is a 5-star, and that’s okay. Nobody’s perfect, and transparency matters.

I'm yet to figure out why, but I could not deploy anymore as Nixpack was missing some components, and pnpm was not found at runtime so couldn't restart services. Probably a bad update? Even more probably my human error.

Started the day with my servers down, impossible to restart or redeploy them, had to initialize a new VPS and re-deploy everything from scratch, move the domain DNS to the new server... I guess that's the occasional price to pay when managing your own servers.

How is you day going?

I'm hesitant to reduce the grace period though because I've seen subscribers who had successful charges recover after 2-ish weeks.

One more thing: when Stripe fails, there is a 2-week grace period during which retries happens, so the free trial extends to... 3 weeks of free usage, with for some no real intend of ever paying.

Yes it is for Listadum specifically.

Artadum does not have a free trial, I get different payment issues but at least they can't use the tool for free until payment is made.

Filtering serious payers. There is a lot of value delivered upfront, a lot of people just take the free trial and never seem to intend to convert. But that's a fair question, I'll ponder.

How do you deal with this?

But I'm scared that removing the free trial will just tank my sales altogether...

When running ads, especially in certain countries, it sends wrong signals to the platform that these users subscribed and I want more of them, but they never convert. I guess sending conversion events one week later could be an option by that would make the feedback loop too long?

I see too many Stripe payments failing due to:
- insufficient funds
- payment declined by card issuer

It's especially frustrating when the subscriber does not convert out of their free trial because of that.

I'm thinking of removing free trial and having a money back guarantee policy instead. Let me explain:
