Really hopeful that Denverites show up to support the Vibrant Denver Bond, a billion dollars going toward housing, pedestrian and traffic safety, parks, and so much more. While sales tax is slumping it’s critical we continue investing bond dollars in projects across our city!

This compact does not ask for “far reaching reforms.” It is a disgusting insult to freedom of speech and the first step to replacing knowledge with government approved propaganda. Call it what it is, an attack on truth and reason.

Still disappointed I wasn’t allowed to climb it, but grateful for this rewarding trip to a part of Colorado I don’t often get to. Excited to be a part of the Colorado Project’s rural listening tour.

Our country could be doing so much more to help our seniors age in place, but at least Denver is taking action to support our aging residents. I’m excited to be working on ways to expand our Property Tax Relief Program for homeowners with low, and often fixed, incomes. Every bit of support adds up!

Now, Hickenlooper — who declared after departing the governor’s mansion in 2019 that D.C. was “a lousy place” and he was “not cut out to be a senator” — is running for a second six-year Senate term at age 73. And Bennet — a Beltway native and Senate institutionalist who has spoken reverently of the “world’s greatest deliberative body” and expressed regret over the erosion of traditional norms like the judicial filibuster — now intends to depart Congress amid an unprecedented assault on the legislative branch’s powers by the Trump administration.

One lesson of recent Colorado politics: There’s a lot less predictive value in accepting politicians’ own accounts of their skills and interests than in asking “What’s currently the most open path to more power and attention for them?” at any given moment. coloradonewsline.com/2025/04/11/m...

Denver workers deserve livable wages. If there is a compromise to be found, it’s not the draconian bill at the statehouse. We should be more creative in finding ways to support our small businesses that don’t come at the expense of the working class i.e. insurance, rents, ingredients.

Denver already has the best elections in the country and I’m proud of the consensus based work we’ve done to make them even better. Awesome opportunity to support CMs Sawyer and Watson on this project.
