I haven't placed all the blame on the GOP. I have in this conversation criticized Biden. Biden is much better than you give him credit for. And far from perfect. Dems suck at messaging. If I were king of America, we would have sent hundreds of tanks and aircraft and soooo much munitions.

Again in Congress, on paper, the Dems had 50/50 with 2 defectors to the Republicans.

Congress isn't doing anything because the Republicans control Congress, and the Republicans do whatever Trump asks.
We were in a deadlock under Biden, so passing things was difficult to the point that the VP broke more vote ties than ever.

I understand your feelings. And I agree Biden could have done more. But unfortunately, he couldn't do that much more with the congressional problems we had under him. If we had a healthy lead in the house and senate we could send much more.

We couldn't send that many tanks because the executive only has so much leeway in sending aid. That would have had to go through Congress, but we could have sent them hundreds, if not thousands, of Abrams. We have a congress and they are the most powerful branch of government.

No, it was not just Biden; it was NATO. We all were very worried about going too hard too fast, which I disagree with, but it's perfectly understandable. We crossed every red line Putin gave us. The British were the ones pushing all of us forward.

No, he didn't. He sent what he could without congressional approval because the Republicans started blocking support for Ukraine. Even then, we got quite a bit of aid through. The president isn't a king and doesn't have the power to do whatever he wants.

We must give Ukraine whatever they need.
