@boardgamehottakes.bsky.social no hard feelings whatsoever, but I had taken Creature Comforts off my wish list after what you said. Have duly put it back on now. Most of my gaming time is with family and I love dice placement, so I think this one can be a hit for us.

Not directly, but plenty of times, I'm fairly positive, in games where there are lots of resources to collect and combos triggering simultaneously, certain players are just like, oh yeah, I get one of those too. Kind of casual cheating you could say.

I've played T & E, and that was a bit more than is ideal for me. Babylonia was more streamlined but allows for more strategy than the pick and play of Rebirth. Main complaint I've heard is too much luck of the draw. Not a problem in Babylonia, but meant to be a different game.

Admittedly, I haven't played this, but have you ever played Babylonia? Incredible tile laying game.

I'm one of those color blind gamers. Usually, I'm good if I just get to be yellow or white, but I have come across a couple games that are just not possible for me. Race for the galaxy had too much color dependent iconography for example.

@boardgamehottakes.bsky.social I've been playing Architects of the W. K. recently and been thinking about how if you trigger the end, you still get one more turn. Seems a big advantage to me, especially compared to many games in which triggering the end means just finishing out the round. Thoughts?

Yeah, I've only begun playing that game in the last year, but it's great.

Yeah, I already own and love other similar style games like Rajas of the Ganges and The White Castle. I'm a history teacher, so beige medieval euros are great by me. Will likely spring for a used Marco Polo or Lorenzo.

Been back in MD this week visiting family. Lovely time but fighting tons of traffic and 80 degrees before 7am reminding me of why I don't live here anymore.

Ok, this was a real labor of love over the last several months. And you can see I am not a graphic designer. But I assigned my 8th grade science class to make a periodic table of something they are into. I decided I would make one of most of my game collection.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. I've probably only seen three of these overall but have enjoyed them. Used to watch the og show when home sick from school way back in the day.
