I've wondered ever since if it was just my opinions were not what they wanted to promote.

When Substack was new, a bunch of successful comics writers who had signed up for significant monetary reasons suggested they also send me an invitation, thinking I would be a good fit.

None of us knew at that time what the platform would become. But I got a note back, very polite, saying no.

haven't read the piece but if she is saying she undertands that it is painful then it is an appaling choice that shows she is a horrible person. "I am choosing with full knowledge to hurt people" is a crazy stance to make.
