Honestly if I want to be happy I just need to uninstall the game. I can play Digimon Rumble Arena for the PS1 for an hour and feel like I achieved more than I do in four hours of PoE2

I have not experienced a game less fun but more addictive than Path of Exile 2 in … probably my whole life?

Hours spent killing enemies, fighting bosses, planning builds, with no sense of accomplishment at the end because you never reach an end goal.

”Feel Somethibg“ by Movements — I got this album because I enjoyed the tracks I’d heard, not realizing I had already heard most of it. I still enjoyed it, but the album lacked a solid progression and track placement felt pretty random. Baffled that “Daylily” isn’t the closing track!

Reviews!

”Daisy” by Brand New — obviously good, but it’s interesting to hear the very sudden “tack end” points. No fade out, just abrupt cuts between tracks. This is a very minor aesthetic effect of design records for digital/CD vs Vinyl.

Both Daisy and The Devil and God… are two of my favorite albums of all time. I decided to go with Daisy for now because I imagined the start-to-finish listening experience would be amazing (also I just really like the cover).

“Anthem for His Majesty” by Clockwise — a 1970’s christian prog-rock band??? I bought the album because LOOK at that cover, and was struck by christian music that actually seemed interested in experimenting with musical soundscapes rather than treating the music as white-noise for worship lyrics.

”2016 Atomized” by The Ravenettes — moody indie-rock that starts with some really strong musical concepts. The second track, “RUN MASCARA RUN”, is a particular standout for me. The B-side feels a little less memorable to me, but it’ll probably grow on me if I give it another listen.

“Trio” by Trio — new-wave one-hit wonder. Very simple compared to other new wave acts, but their ability to write a hook works well with the simple structure of their songs.

I went to the thrift store and got quite a haul of old vinyls! I’m going to talk about them cause they’re all kinda weird!

Plus! If you already have a phone it’s way cheaper just to buy a $20 wireless keyboard than to get a whole laptop.
