Just watched this tonight. Ended well for everyone involved.

I can’t wait for all the texts asking me to donate because they FOUGHT so dang hard before they did nothing.

Dems:

I hate that so many lives are on the line and we have to keep calling our senators to beg for our lives and the lives of others. Great system. (sigh.)

I would rather just be posting about the Edmund Fitzgerald and fanvids & movies & music & other things. (I still do that, obviously.)

I'm hearing the same thing. Dems are nearing a surrender. I'm shocked. Largest protest in history + best election night in years + polling showing we're kicking their ass in public opinion. And now Dems may cave.

It ain't over til it's over, so please do call if you've got a Dem senator.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

This I such a small issue, but at the same time if city staff are straight up lying about this - what else can we not trust them on? Is there a staff direction to not enforce these issues? That it’s a pattern might mean it’s a broader, and purposeful policy choice.

Also - this closing of the report is just a straight up lie. Is there no accountability for city staff either? Is this something that public works encourages? Just wild that the city will also not do their jobs and lie to your face about it.

Incredibly frustrating to have multiple cars parked in the bike lane on 38th - report them - see the agent come out - and watch as they close the case without talking to a single person or ticketing anyone.

There is zero accountability for drivers in Minneapolis, I swear man.

Today - St. Vincent de Paul! They feed and clothe over 5,000 people a week locally, and run thrift stores (one on East Lake Street!) that benefit their mission.

I just got nearly sideswiped and then doored - all in just 8 blocks on Minnehaha Ave. Had to be hyper aware! Pretty low score!

Yesterday I rode the new Bryant and could hear myself think. 10/10!

I think we should rate proposed bike facilities based on their distractability. Can I daydream while riding? 10/10. Do I have to be hyper aware the whole time? 0/10.

Make all planners have to include that metric in their design process.

I’m thrilled to see that Public Works has been out replacing SO MANY of the non working Greenway lights! I even saw what looked like new wiring going in by where I put up the solar lights. We might finally have light on the Greenway again!

I’ve seen so many arguments for and against doing that, it feels like there’s no real good options. Either way you’re hearing from the most connected people who are most likely to vote in a very low turnout situation.

I do think it was clear early on that Fateh was the progressive candidate with the most support; I think it would have made sense for others to drop out and endorse him, campaign with him as the primary candidate. By staying on the ballot they split progressive voters on 2nd and 3rd votes.
