Really, it will be democratic? Since the official policy of the Israeli government is "it's all one state", I assume this protest is about finally giving the 360,000 Palestinians in East Jerusalem, 3M Palestinians in the West bank, and 2M Palestinians in Gaza the right to vote for their rulers.

A number of people insist that the West Bank is not 'occupied' because the Palestinian Authority has de jure authority over about 30% of it. Those people are wrong, but many of them publicly support a '2-state solution', so I have to ask: how does this not constitute invasion of one of the states?

When I was under 1, my dad was arrested in the UK. As was the standard procedure, he had the beating of his life and was left on a cell floor to reflect on the errors of his ways. He got 3 years in a max security jail. One of the men arrested with him died on hunger strike.
