Thank you, E.C! Unbelievably, it’s 25 years since the first one next year.

Covers of seven Adventuremice books: Otter Chaos, Mermouse Mystery, Mice on the Ice, Mice on the Moon, The Ghostly Galleon, Mice Camera Action!, and the new book, Mousehole to the Centre of the Earth.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to read the books in order, you can start with the new one or anywhere else!

If you’re wondering what age the books are aimed at, they’re popular with kids ages 5-8, but younger children enjoy the books being read to them, and older children (such as 12-year-olds) enjoy the artwork and the sense of a cosy comfort read. Often I find adults buying the books for themselves, and even pieces of the original book ink & watercolour artwork, which I sell on the Adventuremice website.

Nothing makes a fabulous stocking stuffer like a highly-illustrated Adventuremice book... or a big ribbon around the whole series!

My co-author & I recently launched book 7; it's backed up with lots of fun, free activities at Adventuremice.com!

Painting of the Adventuremice - and a few other mystery characters - having a sunny breakfast along the branch of a tree. The book's title mentions the 'centre of the earth', so why is there sunlight, and a tree...?

You like trains? You like Stargate? How about a galactic civilization connected by sentient trains running on railways that travel through Stargates?

Seriously, go read Railhead. It's great.

@sarahmcintyre.bsky.social has sooooooo many drawing resources on her website tied to all her and her and @philipreeve.bsky.social's books, it's immense fun.

My new painting exhibition - Brave New Worlds: A Century of Science Fiction Cinema - opens a week today. If you're in the area, do pop along. And please share with interested (and interesting) friends. Today's poster is the first to feature an actor I've worked with: the glorious David Warner.
