Things that I've noticed since deleting Facebook and managing my time on other social media better (aka NOT using it on my phone): I suddenly have time to read. I am tearing through a book that I used to consider "too long" for my attention span. Crazy.

Just deleted Facebook. Which sounds like nothing and strangely feels like a lot. It is the first step of many for me to reclaim my time, sanity, and make a strong statement against Meta for the choices they’ve made.

May you still be boycotting them today, tomorrow, and the many days, months, and years after that.

Boycott them for as long as you can. Some, even forever.

De-Google your life.

Not only because they’re removing history and heritage months from their holiday calendars, but also because they track, steal, and sell your data.

I’m considering ALL of this too. Website and email will always be the most important in my opinion. Beyond that I’m trying to actually subscribe to people, connect on other platforms, etc. in person is SO valuable

Diving back into my email list after the #tiktokban reminded me that as a creator, we own none of these spaces. It’s best t use them to build up the places we do own.

Do you have an email list? I feel like that is something that could help a lot of people not wanting to be on these platforms anymore & to share in more personal ways.

I feel this but from the perspective of a musician. It’s the only reason I wanted to be only any platform to begin with - to promote my art.

Yes!!! The cool thing about bullet journaling is that it can be anything you want or need it to be. What it doesn’t have to be is perfect.

Only a few weeks into bullet journaling and I feel like it’s helping me get my brain back. That and spending less and less time on social media *cue irony of posting this on social media*

Ah, so it’s the time of year where I debate whether or not to get a 2025 planner because I spent most of the past year thoroughly rebelling against anything I actually wrote down to do. But also, stickers and washi tape exist.

2. Combining them all into one account of me feels messy when so many times I’ve been taught to boil them each down.

But my favorite people online are the ones who do.

1. So often I get hung up by this idea that all of my ideas need to be separate accounts or separate pursuits.

As someone who has a lot of ideas, this leaves me with like 5 different accounts presently and a ton of parked ideas.

I'm going to blow your mind: It is possible for the same person to enjoy paper books, ebooks, AND audiobooks, all for different reasons and at different times.

I feel like the only way I’m working this week is if I have a cozy, fireside jazz ambient video on YouTube playing in the background.

Accepting the in-between phase of moving (and honestly life) right now. There are clothes everywhere but I had a real breakfast today so we count that as a win. 🏆
