Say what you want about Starbound and its regrettable dev circumstances, but the softer side of its soundtrack (that I like to use to sleep) is surprisingly good at placating the doggos.

Not a lot in daycare today, but we got two corgi loafs in small yard and it's great they're great I love this.

It's regrettably just an RSD thing... no amount of self-grace really overrides the bad feelings, it's like trying to scoop water out of a big pond with a teaspoon. Only real option is to wait until better weather or warmer season to dry it up enough for me to wade back.

I'll get over it eventually. I always do. But the transitional period - when I'm clawing my way out of the rut - is always the most awkward and painful time during any of these spirals, more so than being at rock bottom (where I'm just resting comfortably, peacefully, in nothingness).

I can dream better than I can draw. No point wasting effort transferring that onto a canvas if it's not for someone else to see. No point drawing a worse representation of what's in my head for only myself when I can already see the better version in my head, haha...

The issue is less I don't want to draw or don't know what to draw, but I feel a huge disconnect with my desire to share art with people at times like this, when it really feels like more people dislike me than support me (due to RSD amplifying ambient negativity and suppressing spotty positivity).

I need to draw again, part of me wants to do something stupid like boot up a run of dialed.gg and then use the colors from that run as the palette. But I'm still feeling generally down.

Might be a fun diversion for other people looking for goofy ideas, tho.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this job, but I'm starting to see why most of my coworkers prefer to hang with the big dogs; sure, tussles are more stressful, and when they ARE noisy/misbehaved it requires more work to deal with, but it's not INCESSANT like it is with the entitled smalls when they're in.

They're probably great dogs who are sweet while at home with their family. But when they're with other dogs that aren't part of their family in-group, they need to make it everyone else's problem. It's truly incredible how much more peaceful it is as a baseline when they're not around (like today).

We have a couple small and clearly very spoiled regulars at dog daycare who absolutely will not stop yapping while they're here. Like, nothing you do will get them to stop raising a ruckus for no reason. Trying to figure out what they want is futile because even if they get it, they won't calm down.

It's deflection. What they really mean is "stop bullying ME for abusing AĪ :(((((((((("

The fact that I could justifiably use the second/hard mode one as a palette for Spine minus the blue/purple nerves (which I could sample off the first one) is INCREDIBLY funny to me.

9.95 match on a slightly desaturated red (H351 S74 B37)

Nope. These were from Firefox in browser, and I did a couple throwaway runs in Chrome Browser, Firefox Mobile, and Chrome Mobile, and they all put out the same ugly score screen. Odd.

On the other hand, this made me laugh; I feel kindred with this red given I wasn't even trying on the mobile tests.

First one on easy, second on hard. I don't know how everyone prior got a nice score screens, but I'm gonna guess it's a mobile-vs-desktop thing.

Photo of a circuit board. It's small (palm-sized) and the traces are curved and much larger than the traces we have now. They gently curve and have some wiggle to them; they were laid out on the original by hand. There's a few small boxy components on there, and most of the traces connect to two small flat chips in the middle. Dead middle has the traces arcing slowly like a whirlpool towards it, and above it more angular lines flow to and fro. The board itself is a deep amber-brown and the tracings are silver, made a little yellow by the light/board.

Another picture of a circuit board. This one has much fewer pixels than the one before. It's a rectangular shape and the bottom of the board; we see traces and spots where components should be, but little besides. The traces on this one focus around two circular areas where there would be vacuum tubes or some other many-legged beast. The lines are delicate and uniform, but still have the human curves and wiggles endemic to the items. This one you can see 'I YNACO' 'STEREO PC' and 'PATENTED' on there. The holes are also numbered for ease of assembly. It's a deep warm red-brown, and the traces are a bright and lovely silver. It's sitting on some Beige Background.

Oh hell yeah. This one's a photo from Alamy stock photos. It's a big circuit board with smaller ones soldered on top of it. Like the big chunk is just a modular holder for the smaller ones. Each board is not unique, but they're all uniquely-assembled. There's lots of little deep hunter green rice-grain looking bits (Resistors), teeny brick-colored boxes (AC-> DC doohickies i think), and a couple silver squat cylinders with wires coming out the top (transistors, I believe). There's some other components on there I can't confidently name. They're teeny green blits on there. The traces are fat and squat, made for hand-repair/manufacture. The carrier board is a paler yellow-y board material, and the smaller boards are a number of darker or redder or duller shades on top. Most of the traces are covered up by the components, band are a dulled hardworking silver.

Oh! Have you seen REALLY old circuit boards? This was before we got computers to do the circuits. :)
