Second trade. Suns get a defensive anchor lob threat and a prospect in Kolek (also Oso reunion!) Knicks build some valuable bench depth and shooting with Grayson and Benton. Picks would have to go the Blazers from the Knicks as compensation for Williams to the Suns but Robinson can be flipped again

Shot and chaser. 1st trade Suns add a young wing w/ size who can shoot/ defend in Murray. Harris is purely salary filler. Kings move off the Derozan mistake and get 2 1sts and capable player in Anthony. Magic keep themselves afloat with a go-to scorer and vet leader for the playoffs

The Thunder look completely unstoppable and this is without Chet and Caruso. For the sake the NBA, I think the Suns should trade them KD to 1. Recoup and ton of assets and 2. Fuck up their rhythm

The iteration of the Suns is done. James Jones is done. I won’t watch the team if they trade Book. You need to find a way to fix this around him.

Step 4: Play the kids. Bench Brad. Assuming you move Tyus/Grayson/Nurk. Your starting 5 should be Monte - Book - Dunn - KD - Oso .. see what you’ve got with more youth and juice around your 2 scorers. See what kind of defensive identity you can establish (sadly this lineup would still be very small)

Step 3: Take some of the draft capital from the Tyus / Grayson trades and use it move Nurk and get younger - more athletic. Would Charlotte do Josh Green + Mark Williams for Nurk and a 1st? Could you try and pry Deandre Hunter out of Atlanta?

Step 2: Approach Bradley Beal or his agents (should be easy since he’s the son of the fucking team president) and see if there’s a team he’d be willing to waive to. Is it Miami? What about BKLN? Start to lay the ground work for an exit strategy

Step 1: You need to trade anyone of value for 1st round picks (that means Tyus and Grayson). With Tyus on a minimum you might even get a 1st + 2nds

I still think there’s a way for the Suns to retool around Book/KD. But it requires pulling the plug on this season.
