Winter weather got in the way Saturday. A wicked hangover got in the way for my movie-going buddy today, so I went by myself. So glad I saw it during its 6-day window at my local theater. Editing stood out hugely for me... performances, soundtrack, and score too... just a January gem!

Pure, utter devastation is what I’m feeling. Akin to how I feel after watching a lot of his films. Just awful. Selfish of me, but I was hoping for one more masterpiece.

The concept of "artificial" art is baffling to me. Art is borne of human experience and great talent and effort. To allow it to flourish is to turn your back on humanity and allow no-talent wannabes to pollute our culture. As an audience, we must embrace and relish the role of consumer in art.
