My Orbea has pretty much been used as a gravel bike over the past couple of weeks…28c tubed GP5000’s have taken a right battering, and have been superb👍

I use flashing front and rear on road during daytime, in my experience, it makes a difference with less near misses when it’s obvious drivers and pedestrians have noticed me. I use both low level flashing and static front and rear at night, and only use them on static if I’m riding with others.

After a bit of playing around at the campsite, headed for Quex park for another snack and some mini-golf, before going to Walmer to top up my knee tan on the beach, before finding another snack from our favourite, and best ever, Chippy😋👍 I think I’ve doubled in weight on this hols😳🤣

I did the same with my Mason Definition last year…transformational, not just the Di2, but also the closer gear ratios. When I ride my other bike, which is 11 speed, I now really notice a gap in the ratios between the mid range of gears on it. No way I’d go back to mechanical gears👍

Tbf, when I changed the group set on my Definition from 105 mechanical to Ultergra Di2, it made no difference to speed, etc. The only exception which could apply equally to either group set was changing to 52/36 front rings instead of 50/34👍

Reasonable drive up to St Omer, although headwinds pretty much all the way resulted in 16.3mpg and two tanks of France’s finest sans plomb😳😆 Handily the site had charging points, so I can save some juice tomorrow⚡️👍
