Seeing the "food stamps" in America discourse online has been truly harrowing. That people can show such disconnect and disdain for their OWN community members. These are the ppl at YOUR stores, YOUR libraries, YOUR schools... The widespread death of empathy in this world will be studied one day 😪

It's bad enough when ppl have to live life disabled. The pain, the exhaustion, and the medical anxiety. Adding onto that burden with the anxiety of meeting the needs of food, shelter, clothing, and savings is absolutely cruel.

Never mind the fact that even disabled ppl incur debt, with no means of paying it off. No means of saving up for anything. Employers have no interest in making accommodations when they can just hire someone with none. And there are ZERO community programs for any kind of socialization of disabled pl

Disabled people in CANADA are not treated as people with actual lives in any real terms. Disability income in EVERY province has failed to meet the basic needs of people with disabilities for the last 5 years because there had been NO increase reflective of the inflation seen in this country.

So I watched the Tête-a-tête of Polievere and Carney in parliament. It's disappointing that Polievere is choosing to continue his campaign of public personal humiliation. So not only did the Canadian ppl slap his hand, but he didn't even learn from it. Canadians could not have made it clearer.

They cast too young. Out of the MULTITUDE of issues that were going to arise for season 4, the reason this is so off-putting is because they cast an actor who's 15-20yrs too young. Cavhil was on the cusp of too young. The character is a middle-aged man. That's WHY it works.

I've now finished all the Star Wars add-ons except Andor. I found Skelton Crew utterly charming. Acolyte was...😮‍💨. That last episode really killed the whole experience, which wasn't anything to write home about to begin with. I've been putting off Andor because I just know it's going to be somber.

It is a great television INJUSTICE that they canceled 2015s Home Fires. Ten years on, and I still want to know how the story ends. The writing was superb, the sets impeccable, the costumes perfection. I love homefront style programs, and it was far and away the best.
