the one thing thats true is profit is top line. patients are i dont even think a footnote anymore. not even healthcare workers get consideration now. its just. all. money.

my gp has long covid. she got it before vaccines were available. she still cant work full time and had to cut her work load to less than half. another friend has it and changed from an -extremely- vivacious person to a.. ghost. she doesnt talk about it but its like shes not there anymore.

yes yes, thanks for the answer. thats what i mean though, 'deciding' as in binary logical way computers/algorithms 'think'. i think we're saying the same thing. my point was that logically if i were an algorithm i might logically deduce humans were illogical and in my way pretty fast. thanks

it didnt have to be 'starlink' all it had to be was turbo charged voter suppression.. thats all it had to be. think how many ppl freaked out over 'war of the worlds' -- which was on one time for maybe an hour. now multiply that by the effect of years and years and years of surround sound disinfo.

ive tried to talk to people about potential risks of AI this way. they get sidetracked into 'computers will never be sentient so how could they decide to kill us'. my theory is that it doesnt require sentience and actually not having it makes it worse.

i know its complicated. im just saying that more and more all insurance co's business model seems changing to profiting by just denying or delaying care for literally anything at any time. whos to stop them in most cases. they just set up a billion hoops and dont cover anything they dont want to.

she actually plans to be a high school counselor... and might adopt from foster care. i think it was totally a decision regarding the state of the world.... and im so glad now she made it.

it should go without saying that the worst damage is replacing ppl in the agencies with crackpots who hate public health. a ton of that happened already in the first term, but most normies didnt notice. but again, a lot of ppl died. already. bad policy + bad personnel = horriffic damage.

id love for people to stop saying theres 'no political appetite' when theres tons of political appetite, just not among politicians. the people all want this stuff with a passion. please learn not to adopt the other sides framing ALL the time @@@ please

insurance companies dont give a rats you know what. they are already letting millions die every year just by denying or delaying care that they are supposed to be covering. they have zero interest in keeping anyone alive. they profit either way. illness is what their profit is built on.
