PSVR 2 is pretty bloody incredible, by the way.

I have a strong stomach with horror games and VR but I had to turn off RE: Village in PSVR 2 after an hour or so cos it was just so damn REAL.

It's one of the best looking VR experiences I've ever had and that made it even more disturbing, distressing and downright trouser ploppin'. Fuckin' hell.

Played a bit of Hitman in PSVR2. Fibre wired a dude and strangled a dude and shot a dude up the arse. All with my bare hands*.

Gran Turismo 7 is seriously impressive and the village section of Resident Evil 4 was unbelievably tense, disturbing and petrifying and made me sweat like fuck. I really love my Quest 3 but the poor wee dear could only dream of doing what this thing can do. Very, very cool piece of kit.

First impressions of PSVR 2:

- fuck me
- not as comfy as Quest 3
- amazing visuals
- controllers are a bit shite
- limited library
- fuck me Gran Turismo 7
- makes me sweat a lot
- no Playstation VR Worlds 2
- fuck me Resident Evil 4
- fiddly set up
- that Subside is quite nice

I just ordered a PSVR 2.

I did that. I actually did that thing.

I've been playing the beta of MSFS 2024 on PS5 and I'm very surprised. It's so much more punchy and responsive and overall a vastly smoother experience than on Xbox. Things that have been broken on Xbox for months are fixed here and everything loads so much faster. A few glitches aside, this rocks.

Funnily enough, this morning I was actually up a snowy mountain in Death Stranding. Turned off the game and 45 minutes later I was actually up a snowy mountain. Life's fuckin' weird sometimes.

Attended a free lecture today on cosmic rays and global quantum communications 2300 metres up a mountain.

Living in Austria is very rarely boring.

I'm working from 5:00 until 11:00 today and then I'm going straight to the cinema to watch all three LOTR extended versions on a giant fuck off screen, all in one day. Should get out at 1:00 tomorrow morning.

Interesting that Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 is coming to PS5 when it's been a broken, unplayable mess on Xbox since its launch last year. I don't mean it has a few bugs or glitches and I'm being a baby about it. Nope, it straight up doesn't work. Like, it's fucked. And it's not being fixed. Oh boy.

I didn't really gel with it the first time so I'm giving The Sinking City another go. I think this time I get it. Adoring the smelly, grimy filth and the whole wretched vibe of everything. It's lovely.

I just managed to loosen the brakes on my bike, take the rear wheel off, fix a puncture and put it all back together again. Haven't done this since about 1987 so I'm well CHUFFED.

After drifting away a bit I got back into Death Stranding 2 again. My god, it's magic.

I've just accidentally gotten into Primus.

Started AC: Rogue Remastered and I'm really enjoying myself. Played this when it came out but remember utterly nothing about it. Yer man has the WORST accent but stabbing folk and shooting yer wee cannons is mighty fun.

Some games are medicine.

Stuck on the original Gears of War there and, blimey, that's a game that doesn't arse about. Big fellas shooting monsters, guns with chainsaws stuck on 'em, best sprint animation of all time, no skill trees, no crafting, no pish. Just sweet, delicious murder. I've missed games like this.

I don't cry at videogames cos I'm not a weirdo but the first hour of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 nearly got me going. Totally devastating.

Going in I didn't think this game would do anything to me, but blimey, it's absolutely doing things to me.

I'm spellbound.

Rebuilding roads in Death Stranding brings me so much joy.

Still can't believe Euro Truck 2 is finally coming to console. Been hard wishing for this for about 10 years now. With this and Flight Sim I'm never leaving the house again.
