This is actually why I started picking up books from the university "take and leave" shelf. It was free and it would introduce me to writing I'd never read otherwise - both good and bad.

Buuut before she unpacks some things, her viewpoint is mired in classism and sexism and maintaining a status quo so there's that.

My MC is from a society where her caste is technically all "third gender" so being something like nonbinary is the norm for her and she finds this whole binary gender thing people try to put her in a bit weird.
