Extreme Heat Increases Workplace Injuries, But New York Lacks Safety Standards An analysis by THE CITY of workers compensation claims found thousands more workplace injuries, beyond those explicitly attributed to heat, on days 85 degrees or hotter.

BREAKING: Graduate workers at Duke University have won a union.

2,500 student-workers have chosen to organize with Duke Grad Union, with 88% voting yes.

They now form the first graduate union at a private university in the South.

Judge rules in favor of Montana youths in landmark climate decision “This is a monumental decision," said a lawyer for the young plaintiffs, and could influence similar cases in other states.

In a first of its kind ruling, a Montana state court ruled in favor of young people who allege the state violated their right to a “clean and healthful environment” by promoting the use of fossil fuels.
