Been following this all through 2025. Think of the $$$ not spent by this may people. Some estimate $50 Billion. Probably a combination of people not wanting to come here & less disposable income for others.

I wish it were true that "no one is above the law". But while the City of London acts as laundromat for the world's dirty money, as almost all fraud and waste crime go unprosecuted, as no one has gone to jail for the financial crash or the poisoning of our rivers, this is manifestly untrue.

Sadly, the current US administration consists of miserablist philistines and barbarians who know the price of everything and the value of nothing - joyless people whose wealth and power has dehumanised them. Do they ever smile?

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

Another pet peeve: Under Trump, the term "diplomat' has come to mean unqualified, ignorant hack.

It is like the way "patriot" has come to mean anti-American, pro-fascist bigot.

Orwellian double-speak is the official language of the Trump Administration.
