From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett. The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

Remember, if Trump leaves office, he faces the risk of imprisonment. That is more than enough reason for him to break every law he can to stay in power.

Make no mistake: Trump is not only much more powerful now than he was on Jan. 6, but he is also showing he is much more willing to commit crimes, grab more power, and abuse office for personal gain.

He is already setting the stage to incite his followers again for a much bigger insurrection.

Thanks to his enablers in Congress and the Supreme Court, I believe Trump has the ability to prevent the 2028 election from happening. He can wage war, he can declare a national emergency, he can invoke the Insurrection Act, he can fully deploy the military against citizens...

Research showing immigrants commit fewer crimes shows that what ICE is doing isn't about safety or threats. Trump having hired undocumented immigrants and being married to a former undocumented immigrant shows it also isn't about the law or immigration. The racist stereotypes show it's about hate.

I'm not seeing any actual evidence here. If we're going to hold them to facts and evidence, I think we should hold ourselves to facts and evidence, too. Respectfully.

Judging from recent history, I sense that if undocumented immigrants were all white female porn stars, Trump would be looking either to marry them or pay for their silence.

If ICE is responding to an actual threat, why does research consistently show that immigrants commit fewer crimes than U.S. born citizens?

The difference between former undocumented immigrant Melania Trump and the people Trump is having zip-tied and disappeared seems to be that Melania is a pretty white former porn star who slept with Trump while the others are people of color. Being white and sleeping with Trump apparently matters.

Innocent people wouldn't attack science, spread lies, turn a presidency into a crime spree, attack citizens, hide their taxes, hide the Epstein files, fire investigators, encourage an enemy to commit acts of war against us, commit rape, peep at naked teens, or get cozy with dictators. Just saying.
