Our farmers have been caught in an economic squeeze.

And with the loss of family farms, more of our farmland is ending up in the hands of a few corporations.

Working families and farmers alike are, at every stage of production, being forced to pad the pockets of profiteers.

We must stand up for all working people at the mercy of these oligopolies.

It's time for the federal government to reform the Competition Act, and restore fairness for all.

In 1966, the federal government agreed to fund half of our healthcare system with the Medicare Act.

Today, they fund just 22%.

We must hold the federal government accountable and demand not only more funding, but more medical school seats, nursing school seats, and hospital beds.

For far too long, investors have profited off of a growing number of Canadians getting squeezed out of the housing market.

Which is why, we must demand the federal government step up and ban corporations from buying up our homes.

Canada is staring down the barrel of a trade war, one that poses an existential threat to our sovereignty.

But this isn't just a trade war, it's a class war, being waged for the profit of U.S. billionaires.

Now more than ever we need MPs who are gonna stand up to the oligarchy.

Nearly half of our farmers are retiring over the next decade.

And two-thirds of our farmers don't have a succession plan in place.

If we do nothing, we'll see even more of our farmland go into the hands of corporations.

Canadians have always stood for justice and peace, it's time for our government to uphold these values on the world stage.

I stand with Vote Palestine in demanding our government stand up for the rights and freedoms of the Palestinian people.

In 1957, Parliament made a promise to Canadians: when we needed hospital care, it would be covered.

They guaranteed we would receive the care we deserve by funding half of the system.

As union membership declines, private pension coverage shrinks.

This has strained the CPP, GIS, and OAS.

To keep these programs solvent for future generations, we must not only invest in them but fight to ensure more workers are covered by collective bargaining agreements.

Yet BC's for-profit LTC homes provided 500,000 fewer care hours.

Our seniors deserve so much better, so let's demand it.

And while one of the most extreme cases of elder abuse and neglect occurred in a private for-profit LTC home just outside of Toronto, where 39 seniors died of dehydration, a similar incident occurred in Québec in another for-profit care home, where seniors died of preventable causes. (3/4)
