The racism on view in that video Trump posted (and has now taken down, having bent the knee to woke cancel culture) is relevant because it's the same racism that is animating the anti-Somali federal occupation of Minneapolis and will animate the surge of anti-Haitian feds into Springfield, OH.

The racist video posted by the President is perhaps the most egregiously racist thing shown in the White House since Woodrow Wilson screened Birth of a Nation there in 1915. Here's an article from Denver's Black newspaper in 1915 calling for Americans to denounce such racist imagery.

Trump is paraphrasing the far less well known scripture portion known as the “Sir-man on the mount” where Jesus advises a sycophantic military leader on how to most effectively and sadistically murder his opponents. Not many people know about those passages.

In Minnesota, all of the ideological cornerstones of MAGA have been proved false at once. Minnesotans, not the armed thugs of ICE and the Border Patrol, are brave. Minnesotans have shown that their community is socially cohesive—because of its diversity and not in spite of it. Minnesotans have found and loved one another in a world atomized by social media, where empty men have tried to fill their lonely soul with lies about their own inherent superiority. Minnesotans have preserved everything worthwhile about “Western civilization,” while armed brutes try to tear it down by force.
