It wasn't startling for most of the world. We saw it coming a mile away. The Democrats laughed at him and treated him like a bumbling dolt. Every move was planned, calculated and worst of all ... telegraphed. He said exactly what he was going to do and no one broke with procedure to stop him.

BlueSky being quoted in a media news outlet as a major and legitimate news source. The image is highlighting a quote from Politico's Kyle Cheney stating that he is on BlueSky. There is no mention of other social media platforms.

This is the first time I've seen a story in the wild quote from BlueSky. Keep up the good work everyone!

Everyone on BlueSky should be paying attention to what's happening over at TikTok. Just saying.

Someone asked me why I use my real name on social media apps.

The reason is because I don't want to hide behind a fake name anymore.

I want to make sure every post I make is done with mindfulness and intention.

I also quit drinking 5+ years ago and don't worry about waking up to drunk skeets.

So, the TikTok ban actually went through on my American friends. 🥺 One good unexpected thing to happen is it's exposed all of the bot farms pretending to be Americans. My block finger is resting on ice right now. Here are my predictions of what I think might happen next week ⬇️

So while they are threatening to annex Canada through sanctions, that's mostly a media distraction so they can launch the real war of facts vs. misinformation. Facebook will be their first line of offense. Our open use of TikTok stands in their way of a perfect execution. p/9

They're going after American companies and pushing to censor more." was the one that stood out to me the most. p/8

Canadians didn't ban TikTok. We stopped monetization, ordered the offices be removed from Canada but allowed Canadians to still use the platform because we believe in free speech. And Canadians use it more for entertainment than politics because there are no monetary incentives. p/7

Trump wanted Trudeau to lift the bans on Meta and ban TikTok to help force the sale of the app to someone in America. I'm positive Trudeau, knowing about how young brains are formed, said no. That would have sparked the narcissistic outrage we saw with the threat of Canada becoming a state. p/6

It made it hard on me as a SMM because I couldn't compete with my friends down south and it was frustrating to not be paid what I could be making there but I understood what was at stake. I watched the tribes form and polarization happen in the US and fighting mostly stop in Canada. p/5

Americans may not know the real reason Trump was mad at Justin Trudeau. We blocked all news on FaceBook years ago and put controls on TikTok. There is no creator fund in Canada so we aren't being paid to say outrageous things to get monetized. p/3

We can make fun of him until the cows come home but that only empowers him and feeds his narcissism. We should have learned that in 2016 but here we are.

Ok. This is going to be controversial but with everyone talking about Trump over on X and everyone talking about Trump over here all that is being accomplished is that everyone is talking about Trump. We really need to post about other things too.

That's my only concern. Does he have the media experience needed in these "new times." I would like to hear him letting Canadian voters know he is interested. Not quietly floating the idea and distributing press releases. At least he has the respect of the press and they' re running the stories.
