The evidence is great, the problem is context. Nobody wants to hear they are wrong, it takes a lot to admit you are wrong. I agree that this is the right's fault. I think the problem isn't some innate moral difference, just how they were targeted by the lies from Trump/China/Russia/Trolls.

They were definitely lied to by the people they voted for. However, you are right that utah voters need to take responsibility for their politicians and leaders.
