If "vote blue no matter who" is an obligation from Mamdani to others, it is an obligation from others to Mamdani. Otherwise it's just the leadership demanding brand fealty.

This is why even when I don't live in NYC, I care about this race. I'm in the state and the City matters SO MUCH to the rest of the state economically and politically no matter how much our resentful rural right-wingers try to pretend it doesn't.
