Screenshot of a conversation interface showing an image of black kitchen utensils and a text exchange. The top portion contains the original image of six black silicone utensils. Below is a user message asking for alt text, followed by Claude's response describing the utensils. The interface includes a copy button, retry button, and thumbs up/down feedback options. A decorative orange asterisk icon appears in the bottom left corner, with a note about Claude's potential mistakes at the bottom.
One of my favourite use-cases for AI is to generate ALT-Text for images that I post on the web. Claude does an excellent job of analysing images. Check out the Alt-Text for the image below.
It's Alt-Text all the way down.
"A year ago, GPT-4 felt like a glimpse of the future. Now it's basically running on phones ... This isn't steady progress - we're watching AI take uneven leaps past our ability to easily gauge its implications."
26.12.2024 05:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In Australia, Boxing Day is usually spent recovering from a food coma and watching either the Boxing Day Test (cricket) or the Start of the Sydney Hobart yacht race. If neither of these things appeal to you, why don't you listen to the latest episode of On The Reg podcast?

18.12.2024 07:04 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Inger is a fan of giving people the βillusion of choiceβ - by giving 3 options they think they are in control, but really, you have reduced their options from βwheneverβ to three specific dates.
Get in front of it and control the decisions otherwise their lack of planning will become your emergency.
Also, donβt wait. Create a sense of urgency by going on the front foot: βI know we need to work together, but my calendar is filling fast. Iβm down to 3 available spots - which of these work for you and Iβll lock it away. The longer we leave this the less likely Iβll be able to fit your preferenceβ

I just had one of those "Holy Crap" moments. I experimented with Google's Gemini AI to create a video from one of my documents. It took the content of the document, suggested scenes in the video, put in transition and other effects, suggested a script and narrated the script over the top. 90 seconds

This is brilliant. Man creates animated stick figure on the streets of Toronto by repeatedly going for runs in his neighbourhood and tracking his runs with an app.
