The elimination of USAID is a moral atrocity and all involved made a choice to enable, and then lie about, ending the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in the world.

But why is that a defense? It’s pretty cruel to want someone to be unhealthy and suffer just because they think they don’t have good enough will power.

The first one is actually pretty awful as well and proves that health isn’t the actual concern people have when they shame fat people.

I think it’s more basic. A lot of people just hate fat people. They love shaming them and feeling superior. You can tell because people who love to shame fat people and justify it by saying that they’re ‘just worried about their health’ are the same ones who say drugs are cheating.

I know someone who used to have this job (determining gifts for visiting dignitaries etc). She is highly educated, thoughtful and professional. The difference between her and giftgirl is so vast, it feels like we aren’t even in the same reality anymore.
