Quiche Lorraine is the perfect food. Eggs, cheese, bacon, pastry - what more could you want? Not sure who Lorraine was, but she was obviously a genius.

New preprint 🌟 Psychology is core to cognitive science, and so it is vital we preserve it from harmful frames. @irisvanrooij.bsky.social & I use our psych and computer science expertise to analyse and craft:

Single-dose psilocybin rapidly and sustainably relieves allodynia and anxiodepressive-like behaviors in mouse models of chronic pain - Nature Neuroscience Hammo et al. show that a single dose of psilocybin rapidly and sustainably relieves both chronic pain and anxiodepressive-like behaviors in mice by restoring prefrontal activity through partial agonism at 5-HT2A and 5-HT1A receptors.

New paper in Nature Neuro, with very impressive results (in mice):

If you're interested in the cognitive neuroscience of memory feel free to email me!

I do experimental psychology, brain imaging (fMRI and MEG) and a bit of modelling. Lab is doing stuff on forgetting, aging, schemas, and event boundaries, but we're not limited to that.

Likely explanation is that they're trying to patent it or form a spin-out company based on that IP, and therefore need to 'protect' it. Still not... great though.
