20.11.2025 01:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ta-Nehasi Coates is doing a lot of things with this essay, but one of the most important is fearlessly using examples of anti-trans hate to describe Charlie Kirk's politics.
The contrast between his choices and those of other writers for major legacy outlets is revealing.
Back in grade school I saw this cover in the grocery store, and it stopped me in my tracks. I immediately knew I had to read this book.

I'm about halfway through this intarsia tunesian crochet project. It will look a lot better after blocking.

I finished up this mosaic crochet potholder. The pattern is Lotti Potholder by Suzanne Anacker.

Hank of hand spun yarn in various shades purple all twisted together.
I finally finished plying some border leicester wool that I dyed and spun almost a year ago.

03.01.2025 19:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I took a break from my weaving project to spin up a trans pride braid. I really like how it came out. This yarn will probably become a hat.

29.12.2024 17:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Three hanks of natural white yarn sitting next to an EEW 6.0 in front of a window. One hank is super curly because I plied it in the wrong direction.
I ran out of white yarn for my project, so I went back to my border leicester fleece to spin some more.
When I first started plying the singles I couldn't figure out why they were so dang unmanageable until I noticed I forgot to change direction on my EEW.
I love these colors and the mushrooms and pumpkins!

Felted square pinned down to a blocking mat, 5 inches on a side. Colors are white and pink.
I made an error in one of my squares, so I replaced it. As an experiment I tried felting the square with the error to see how much it would shrink. You can see in the pictures below that it went from 6.5 inches on a side down to 5 inches on a side
