19.02.2026 23:26 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0We feed our cats Blue Diamond Wilderness dry food. I don't know how much is luck or genetics vs. good quality food, but our last cat lived to 21 and was pretty healthy and spry right up to the end - hope we get just as much time with Amos!
18.02.2026 12:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A bearded dragon named Stripes basking on a rock in his enclosure first thing in the morning. Stripes is facing the camera and has his beard puffed out, a sign of happiness or contentment, almost making him look like he is smiling.
Just a happy lil guy.
17.02.2026 13:17 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I know exactly what newly released popular pattern you are talking about because I had the same thought! The stripes match across both sleeves and the body... That's not scrappy use-what-you-got spontaneity, that takes serious planning!
15.02.2026 20:44 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A cozy scene of a cat snuggled up under a gray cable-knit blanket and an in-progress wine-colored knit sweater. Amos, the cat, is an orange tabby with a white face and pale green eyes. Only his head is visible. The left hand of the person knitting is resting on the bundled up sweater holding the silver knitting needles.
Binding off the back of this sweater, accompanied by Amos who is mostly (but not entirely) resisting the urge to assist. #knitsky #knitting #cozy #cat #catsofbluesky ๐งถ
15.02.2026 17:01 โ ๐ 29 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 0A small sample of yarn and unspun wool fiber held in front of a spinning wheel. The fiber and yarn are a murky blue teal color, and match the nail polish on the hand that is holding the sample. The scene is brightly lit from the white snow outside a window in the background.
Snowy day ply-back test! I didn't spin or knit much for the last few months, due to the holidays and school and video games and, of course, The Horrorsโข, but today's spinning guild meeting brought a little bit of my mojo back. Now to pull out the drum carder and prep more of this Romney!
07.02.2026 16:28 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Three crocheted koroks, small forest spirits from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The one on the left is swirled blue and brown and has a medium sized, heart shaped green leaf mask. The center korok is swirled pink and burnt orange, has a four-lobed leaf mask in a darker green, and is holding one arm up in a jaunty wave. The right-most korok is swirled peach and brown, and has a yellow, pale green, and bright orange mask shaped somewhat like a maple leaf. Each mask has a suggestion of a face embroidered in black and the korok's nose sticking out of its center.
It took a little longer than a single day, but the koroks are finished! This pattern, while thorough, was a doozy and I will happily never make another. Now back to my winter activity of leveling alts in WoW...
05.01.2026 23:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A white person's arm with their sleeve rolled up to show an illustrative style tattoo of a tiger kitten with butterfly wings enthusiastically chomping a ball of yarn. The kitten is orange with black stripes, their wings are green with black borders and mauve dots, and the ball of yarn is also mauve.
A little late but almost relevant, my tiger/kitten/fairy/yarn tattoo! This tattoo makes me so happy every time I see it (stupid winter requiring stupid long sleeves) and really lets everyone know I have a weird obsession with cats and yarn.
21.12.2025 22:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Three incomplete crocheted korok amigurumi on a blue-jeaned lap. The one on the right is pink and orange swirled, the one in the middle is pink and brown, and on the left is blue and brown. The middle one has a yellow, green, and orange leaf mask with several trailing yarn tails sitting on top of it, and a person's hand is holding a green leaf mask in place on the leftmost korok. In the background are a small pair of red scissors, a yellow-handled crochet hook, and a chopstick for pushing stuffing into small areas. Ya ha!
Today's snow day goal is to finish up these koroks, which were supposed to be last year's stocking stuffers. My crafting mojo has been elusive this month, but maybe checking these guys off my WIP list will bring it back... Colorful Spirits Amigurumi pattern by ElizettaCrafts. #crochet #zelda
14.12.2025 16:36 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0An orange tabby cat stands over three stacks of fabric and sewing notions. Each stack consists of two colors of coordinating fabric, one zipper and one spool of thread, all the materials to make a zippered dopp kit.
Helper cat never misses his chance to supervise sewing! I'm making dopp bags for my team at work and really feeling the loss of physical sewing stores since I can't run out for any notions I might be missing. I may add one more bag into the assembly line if I can find some nice scraps in my stash.

A braid of spinning fiber, a cop of singles, and a Turkish spindle sitting on a purple velvet with hat. The spinning fiber is hand dyed with splotches of neon colors on a white background, and a golden moon charm dangles from the tip of the hat.
Dressed as a witch in a hand knit ghost sweater, watching Beetlejuice, munching candy, and spinning yarn - what could be better? Happy Halloween, yarny friends! #spinning #handspinning ๐งถ
01.11.2025 01:32 โ ๐ 66 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Ugh, yarn bleeding is so frustrating! But the pink and purple are so cute together that no one will guess they weren't supposed to be that color combo to begin with. ๐
26.10.2025 12:09 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I get it, cat-kind has a reputation of dignity and refinement to uphold, and wearing a pumpkin hat could be seen as a serious setback in that regard. I hope the good Admiral can accept my apology for subjecting his brethren to such disrespect!

26.10.2025 02:41 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0An orange and white tabby with pale green eyes, sitting calmly and staring straight into the camera, with a tiny knitted orange pumpkin balanced on his head.
A close up picture of the tiny orange knitted pumpkin. It is held up by a white-skinned hand with purple painted nails, and using the hand for scale, you can see that the pumpkin is no more than an inch across. In the background are several blurry shelves of knock knacks against a dark teal wall.
When you knit a tiny pumpkin, you make your cat wear it as a hat, of course. Pattern is Teeny Tiny Pumpkins by Anna Tracy, available on Ravelry, yarn is Jamieson & Smith 2 Ply Jumper Weight, cat is Amos. ๐งถ ๐
26.10.2025 00:28 โ ๐ 59 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0Agreed, it's very far outside my usual pallette, but it's bringing joy! ๐
25.10.2025 15:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A Turkish drop spindle with a carefully wound turtle of neon yellow, orange, pink and purple hand spun yarn. In the background is the unspun wool fiber, which is mostly white with pops of bright colors.
4 days of progress! I did a bit more after this and even though there's still room on the arms, I'm definitely feeling the extra weight, so it might be time to take off the cop and start again.
25.10.2025 13:56 โ ๐ 14 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think I would prefer a lighter spindle as well! I have another one that is about 28g, but it has a bit of a wobble (although I recently read some tips that might help). Still, this yarn is turning out quite serviceable, and I'll try for something thinner/lighter next time!
21.10.2025 19:54 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A small clearing in the woods in autumn. The ground is thickly covered with leaf litter, and the leaves left on the trees are a mix of golden yellow and green. To the left is a campsite with a faintly smoking fire pit, and an adult, child, and dog are walking along the trail in the middle distance.
A small stream snaking through a sparse wood. Both banks are covered with orange and brown fallen leaves, with a few green ferns and patches of moss along the edges. The trees rising above the stream have lost most of their leaves, and the ones that are left are yellow against the dark branches. A man in a gray sweatshirt and a medium sized brown dog are walking next to the stream.
It's also a really lovely day for a mildly moody walk through the woods, just fyi.
19.10.2025 19:50 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I did accidentally end up spinning it on the floor a few times, but even that needs work so I don't let the arms touch the floor. I'm sure with practice it will all get easier, and if not, I'll have to go shopping for a lighter spindle - not something I particularly mind!
19.10.2025 19:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A Turkish drop spindle next to a braid of neon-dyed wool. A small amount of the wool has been spun into singles which are wound into a gods-eye style cop on the spindle, showing off pale neon blues, greens, purples and oranges, with tweedy bits of all different colors. The fiber braid is hand dyed in blotches of the same colors, only brighter and interspersed with white. Barely visible on the arms of the spindle are cutouts in the shape of cars playing.
I am trying again to make friends with a drop spindle, and I think I have to accept that my 33g Turkish just can't do thin singles. Which is fine, because this Shaniko Tweed from 316 Dye Studios (in the appropriately named Lite-Brite color) will look pretty good as a DK/worsted 2-ply. #handspun ๐งถ

A shiny teal-blue 3-D printed spinning wheel bobbin held close to the camera, with two more lying on a couch in the background. The bobbins have a small gear on each end, indicating they are for a Woollee Winder device.
Very lucky to have a husband who can print more bobbins when I run out! My current project has filled 4 of my 6 bobbins with no end in sight, so I may yet end up needing a few more, but not for a few weeks. #handspinning ๐งถ
