The same picture as the first image, now with accompanying twitter post that says: Meet the winners of the 2025 lsele Prizes! Josiah Ikpe's "Not Like Other Boys" wins the lsele Short Story Prize. Tolu Daniel's '"Notes of a Nonresident Alien" wins the Isele Nonfiction Prize. Fatima Abdullahi's "Three Poems" wins the lsele Poetry Prize
Fatima Abdullahi Wins the Isele Poetry Prize for " Three Poems' Fatima Abdullahi's poems contain profound emotion and lyrical precision, rendering personal grief as a collective experience. Each piece in the trio explores loss from different angles--ageing, the death of a father, and emotional detachment in mourning-with imagery that is tender, raw, and hauntingly memorable. The poems are remarkable not only for their technical control and intertextual references (from Dylan Thomas to Diana Der-Hovanessian), but also for their ability to collapse vast emotional landscapes into intimate, carefully wrought lines. Abdullahi's voice is clear-eyed and compassionate, making space for silences shadows, and the unspoken ways grief reshapes us. The work asks us to sit with our own losses and reconsider what it means to remember. Read "Three Poems" by Fatima Abdullahi.
I won the 2025 Isele Poetry Prize yesterday!! ๐๐

- What a way to end it. A BABY?? And one he'll never know ๐ญ๐ญ. At least Bee is with Bix ๐ญ
- Cass released Nemik's manifesto ๐ฅน
-Dedra ended up in Narkina 5?!
I now want to immediately rewatch Rogue One but I'm so full of hope rn I don't want to have to relive that ending ๐ญ
#Andor s2 ep 11
Seeing Kleya come apart at the seams is heartbreaking. She put her whole life into the Rebellion & she's still trying to give the last of what she has :(
And omds, the TENSION of those last minutes ๐ฎโ๐จ
#Andor s2 ep 10
Poor Loni
Poor Luthen & Kleya ๐ญ
#Andor s2 ep 9
- What an incredibly selfless act from Bix. "I'm choosing the Rebellion".
The way I was on tenterhooks throughout this episode you'd think I didn't already know how the story ends. This is the mark of a thing well made.
- Mon Mothma, I'll always love you. "Welcome to the Rebellion"
#Andor
- Dedra didn't deserve Syril anyway
- Wilmo refusing to leave his new love behind because he still hurts over leaving his first one. I hope he makes it ๐ฅน
- The Ghormans almost had me in tears. That broadcast at the end begging for them to be heard.
As always, f**k the Empire.
#Andor s2 ep 7 & 8
Two fantastic episodes! ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ
โ Syril spent all these years hating Cassian just to die at the exact moment he realizes Cass doesn't even know who he is. Damn. To Syril, it was hunting Cass down that started him on this path. To Cass, he's just a random guy.
#Andor s2 ep 6
- I knew Cinta's death was coming because I got spoiled beforehand, but I absolutely hated the way she died. Whining simpering child indeed.
- Bix getting her comeuppance & destroying the ISB's plans in one go?
#Andor s2 ep 5
First, "Not much of a revolutionary are you?" to Cassian, then Saw closes the episode with:
"Revolution is not for the sane. Look at us. Unloved. Hunted. Cannon fodder. We'll all be dead before the Republic is back, & yet...here we are."
Absolutely brilliant! ๐๐ฝ
#Andor s2 ep 4
- The depiction of the smear campaign against Gorman is brilliant. This is how propaganda works smh
- Bix & Cassian suffering through the cost of the fight :(
When Cassian keeps saying "This is a war" I wonder if he's not also using it as a reminder for himself.
#Andor
And all that complaining about the SA scene, "this isn't Star Wars" blah blah, please.
Andor is showing you the nature of empires. Not just the people who build them, but also those who sustain them. And some are absolutely the kind of people that would commit rape.
#Andor s2 ep 3
- As with s1 the show really opens up with ep 3. I LOVED this episode, so very well done.
- Can't believe I was cheering Dedra putting Syril's mom in her place
- The contrast between the wedding party scene to the Bix/Cassian scenes was so great. Poor Brasso ๐ญ
#Andor s2 ep 2
- I know everyone and their mother saw it comingโincluding meโbut I still gasped when I saw Dedra and Syril were now a thing ๐คฃ
- I won't lie, I absolutely adored Perrin's speech ๐ฅน
- Cassian better than me tbh. That entire sequence was a waste of time.
Posting my #Andor season 2 watch thread here. I truly don't think I'll ever love another show as much I love this one.
Ep1:
"You're coming home to yourself. You've become more than your fear." ๐ญ
The way Cassian always finds himself in these improbable situations ๐
Also, KRENNIC!! ๐ก

this is literally fraud. You did not sign authors with the promise to pay their due if you made a profit, you committed to pay them for their work that they delivered and has sold. At the very least this publisher needs to be blacklisted, but hope there are also legal consequences somehow
