You should check out A Dark and Drowning Tide if you want yearning, stubborn lesbians and a setting where being queer isn't questioned at all. This is a romance and light action book set in a fantastical 1900's magical Germany, where there is a kingdom instead of what we actually had. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We have to be careful of writing people off as enemies when they're not, especially when easy research proves we're on the same side. In today's time, we cannot afford to make enemies where they don't exist. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed Allison's book.

There are plenty of Jewish people who are pro-Palestine. But you'll be happy to note that I did some research. The author of A Dark and Drowning Tide, Allison Saft, did in fact sign the Writers Against the War on Gaza letter and is pro-Palestine herself. I'll link it below.

There was some question last night on stream about if the book I'm reading with a fantasy version of a Jewish main character was pro-Israel or not, and I want to say more eloquently here that being Jewish doesn't automatically mean it's pro-Israel propaganda.

After my divorce was finalized, I went home, and ordered takeout. My life in that moment was forever changed, but it wasn't a bad thing, even if it took time to realize that. You can celebrate or mourn in your own way, but you don't have to decide which it is today. Do something for yourself.

Anyway, I left a scathing review, and that's when I saw that place had a 2.0 score on Google bc they lie to everybody. Woof. Everyone is having a bad time there apparently.

I was hopeful a two day old bite wouldn't need the ER bc my copay is ridiculous for an ER, while Urgent Care is only $10.

I understand that some places can't do some things, but being lied to on the phone, going in believing that lie, and then being treated like I'm stupid is beyond my patience.

Called an Urgent Care to ask if they'd look at a dog bite. They said sure, just walk in. I go in and the gal at the desk acted like I was stupid for thinking they did that.

I had to call an ER in the boonies to find a place with less than a 4 hour wait.

To say I'm annoyed is putting it lightly. 🥲

I think my frontal lobe developed completely one day while I was sweeping my living room and realized how many of the men I dated actually hated me.

One of Bolter's bites wouldn't stop bleeding so I was concerned. I'm shaved his spots last night and washed them out really well, and he's already been given his pain meds, all according to doctor's orders. He's wearing his hoodie to keep him from licking.
