Exactly. Youth crime will surge. When you shut most of a generation out of society they will be angry. I had no education or money but at least there were jobs and eventually I could afford rent, or a car, not both. As a teenager I didn't think I'd get anywhere. We were the dregs. No education even.

I grew up in poverty when the education system was in shambles but I feel the old anger rising at saying kids are getting a 'free ride!' There's no free ride for young people. They start out with educational debt, no jobs, no affordable housing. Without rich parents they are munted!

Absolutely. Jane is the best of humanity. Unfair she’s gone and absolutely shites live on.

In my system, refunds go faster if you process a larger payment before you do a refund. Then the money is there with card processing to be used immediately. Otherwise they draw on your bank account and that slows things down. So it’s worth waiting a couple of days for the next payment to be due.

Dancing in confused circles with kids helps them grow up to be fine people and is a lot more fun. Bots are mediocre sychophant suck ups full of erroneous information that can’t even answer a question! 😩

It didn’t take offence even when I tried explaining it had missed the entire point of the issue. Then it helpfully shut down future orders for me… even though I wanted them.🤷‍♀️ I just went to a different shop in the end. Life’s too short to dance in confused circles with bots.

I think I just spent three days trying to explain an account issue to a help bot. It was the opposite of helpful. Issue is unresolved. I give up.

Just finished Jude Rossell's Midwatch. Wow! That is a middle grade book done well! So much fun. Grab it if you see it for your favourite 9-13 year old. Loved it.

I would have loved these when I was a kid. It was my worst fear, dying of nuclear fall out. I was a kid in the cold war and searched for books like these without finding them. Sad to see it all back on the table. But also why I write survival stories now so all that childhood anxiety wasn't wasted.

Comisserations. I had this. I made sure we were never in the same online spaces after being threatened ftf. But people never wised up to his terrible behaviour. He blamed multiple online altercations on me apparently. He thought I was sock-puppeting him! I did not have the time or energy, mate.

School holidays remind me of my teenage years renting in Mt Maunganui, having to pack away all personal items and go camp on a friend’s lawn for the summer while my flat was inhabited by the owner family and friends, going to work early to shower there! Years later still packing up…

I hope so. Even NZ fell for the RWNJs and now they’re crumbling. Culturally, environmentally and economically. Australia chose the least RWNJs of the two main parties. The one that’s just a bit right. They could do better.
