There are all kinds of things that are done that are weird to me. It is weird to me that every industry out there has laws about how many hours a child can work. But for farmers, those laws don't apply to their kids. They can take their kids summers away to make them work on the farm.

If it is a tradition type thing that has been happening for decades, I see no issue with it. I am thinking it is something everyone knows about and it is something kids enjoy as much as the parents. Almost like a rite of passage type thing.
