Mike Stewart and Larry Seaman co-wrote it, mostly Mike. Mike has been around Austin forever & produced a lot of the “New Sincerity” bands that were part of that college rock wave in the 80’s.

Carey sent him a mix, and Mike sent it back & told him to turn up my bass. 😂

I guess I missed that in the insane firehose of bullshit in the last 10 months.

I told my wife to take note of all the things I said I’d do in the next 2 weeks, and if I was still in bed saying I’d do them by the 4th, to remind me to call my shrink. The side effects are worse than the cure sometimes.

A silver Toyota 4Runner parked diagonally. The front has an aftermarket steel bumper and the whole thing has a 3 inch lift kit.

My 2002 Celica was on the verge of giving up the ghost, and I managed to summon enough of a downpayment to make this 2015 4Runner possible. I made my first loan payment yesterday! Like my ‘95 Pathfinder before, it has been pre-dented for my convenience. 4WD! Lift kit! Steel bumpers!

If you have the opportunity, I insist that you take it and see the “Ben Folds and a Piano” tour. It was intimate and enlightening. And while I came in to his music through lyrics and songcraft, Dude can bang on a piano like nobody’s business. Go!

I took 2 years of drafting, and it became foundational to my career. Not that I draft on paper anymore, but the principles of centering, leveling, perspective, adding descriptive dimensions, scale, all stood me in good stead during the desktop publishing revolution in the early 90’s.

I mention the Colonel (later General) because my grandfather still had his sword, uniform & hat with the bullet hole in it. We are hard-headed motherfuckers.

There was a colonel on the Union side named Michael J Vreeland who was wounded at Gettysburg- I believe my great-great-great-grandfather? My granny traced the family back from Oregon to Michigan to Pennsylvania to New Jersey to New Amsterdam. So you and I are probably 9th cousins or something. 👋🏼🙂
