Then provide a realistic process for them to do it the right way. Because as someone who is actively trying to emigrate out of this dumpster-fire of a country, I can tell you, they sure as shit don't make it easy.

I don't care if there are undocumented immigrants here. Stastically, they produce more than they consume, they perform all the jobs other folks refuse to do, they're already ineligible for government benefits or other programs, and they're even less likely to commit a crime than US-born citizens.

What do you think, folks? Any critiques or additions you would recommend?

Does time travel undo all the story's consequences? Is the plot resolved by divine intervention? Hell, was the whole story just a dream? Don't insult the audience's intelligence or devotion to the material, and certainly don't undercut the story's primary message or theme.

3) A story should end in such a way that it encourages the audience to enjoy the story again and again, and even enhances rereads. But a sour ending can turn people off from ever enjoying it again.

Audiences hate retcons, plot holes, and "deus ex machinas" for good reason: they don't make sense, they violate the rules of the story, and they aren't satisfying. Even twist endings and surprise characters need to be set up ahead of time.
