Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu vol 2. Subterranean Jungle.
Everything about this book sings. Every word, every panel, every line of ink and splash of color hit the perfect note.
Marvel’s best book and I don’t even think it’s a close race.

Let’s look for the purple banana until the put us in the truck.
Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu vol 2. Subterranean Jungle.
Everything about this book sings. Every word, every panel, every line of ink and splash of color hit the perfect note.
Marvel’s best book and I don’t even think it’s a close race.
Red Hulk: Prisoner of War.
You ever wondered who exactly likes Red Hulk and keeps wanting more of him?
Yep. That’s me.
- Justice League Unlimited v1
- The Ultimates v2.
Two very different but absolutely great team books. Both have exactly what I want out of the Big Two right now: loud action, huge stakes and a sense of awe.
Weapon X-Men.
They’ve got a super secret important mission that Cable can’t tell them about through the first five issues.
I was just glad to see Chamber running around an X book again.
10 days until launch!

Rereading 100 BULLETS. Read it the first time about 5 or 6 years ago.
Last time, I read all 100 issues and the Brother Lono mini over two or three days.
This time, I’m limiting myself to one or two trades a week, but I came see why I read it so quickly before. It’s so hard to put down.
I just read that Eddie Vedder sings back up on Bad Religion’s AMERICAN JESUS.
That’s my favorite BR song, listened to it countless times.
I can’t hear Eddie to save my life.
It’s like my grandaddy used to say all the time, “some days you just trip over new music and find yourself listening to some German pop/punk band ya never heard of before.”
Life’s funny Ike that.
Watching DEMOLITION MAN for the first time in years.
Blade is rad, but is Simon Phoenix the best role Wesley Snipes ever played?
The Thing Omnibus, collecting Thing’s solo run, crossovers and the Thing/Hulk graphic novel.
Cranky but lovable Ben Grimm is great, but a lot of this run was Bashful Benji being miserable.
Best part was his stint as a pro wrestler.
Eye Lie Popeye 1-5.
A new Popeye story with One Piece/DBZ vibes and a metaphysical lean to it.
This was wild. Definitely feels like a labor of love, and the art is a lot of fun. I’ll be back for more, if this gets a sequel.
Ultimate Spider-Man v.3.
Hell yes. The best book on Marvel’s roster.
Captain America 269, Marvel’s Team America 1-12, New Mutants 5-6.
In 1982, Marvel licensed the rights to some toy motorcycle riders and made a comic book about them, and a these weirdos were awesome. I’d pay a stupid amount of money for a hardcover book of their appearances.
I wish Charles Darwin could’ve lived to have seen Powerslap.

This ol’ fat boy’s is Herbert Gutman. Because Fatty McBaddy was a little too on the nose.
I think he’s awesome.
MAGIC POWDER's second arc is coming.

Ultimate Wolverine: The Winter Soldier.
This is 6 issues that carries 2 issues worth of information and story. There’s familiar characters in new situations that just feels empty.
This is like Ultimate Black Panther for me. It’s not bad, it’s just dull and I think that’s worse.
I’ve only read Absolute Bats 1-6 and it’s so damn good. I think I liked almost as much as Absolute Wonder Woman. If you get half a chance, check it out too.
18.09.2025 16:49 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars. What if Deadpool was around for the original Secret Wars? We’d have a bunch of Deadpool one liners, I guess.
Not a fan.
Generally speaking, I have to be in the mood for Deadpool, and I just wasn’t there today.
Secret Wars: Battleworld by DeFalco, Olliffe and Kalisz.
Spidey and crew have a side quest in between panels of the original Secret Wars, incorporating characters who had figures in the toy line that weren’t in the original comics. Fun book.
Marvel Secret Wars.
The original event comic & still one of the best.
I always forget that Julia Carpenter showed up as Spider-Woman in her black suit before Pete found the symbiote.
Also, it’s fun to go back to when the X-Men were the weird kids and not just another super team.
Don’t mind me. Just re-reading the OG and still the best event comic of all time.
07.09.2025 01:12 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Door to Door, Night by Night volumes 1 & 2, by Bunn, Cantrino, Cunniffe and Campbell.
It’s 1987, and a group of door to door salesmen go to small towns and become reluctant monster hunters.
Oh hell yeah. I’ll be back for volume 3 and anything that follows.
X-Factor: Know Your Enemy. Last volume for this book and that’s a bummer. I really liked this one, focusing on characters like Havok, Polaris and Angel instead of the usual X-Suspects
04.09.2025 17:00 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Hulk: Gods Drink Blood.
The Hulk fights a near ending stream of monsters, with guest appearances from Werewolf by Night, Clea, Thor and his Asgardian crew.
All of that sounds pretty cool, but somehow it’s just not.
There’s little to no forward movement in this story.
Instead of watching Thunderbolts*, which is up on streaming and I’ve been looking forward to, I watched Argento’s SUSPIRIA instead because I forgot all about the T-Bolts.
Anyway, damn Suspriria is spooky and beautiful.
World’s Finest: Total Eclipso.
Superman, Batman & Robin and friends take on Eclipso, and I’m an always ready for a good Eclipso story. Then Batgirl teams up with Jimmy Olsen and there’s a Green Arrow/Green Lantern/Flash annual too. Hell yes, still the best book on the shelves.
Marvel Two In One starring the Thing 1-100, annual 1-7 + crossovers.
Bashful Benji teams up with the Marvel universe to fight just about everybody he can find. There’s a lot of fun in this book. And a lot of clobberin’ time too.
Absolutely fascinated by the idea of people having an opinion about the Cracker Barrel logo.
Dry assed biscuits and weak ass corn muffins. The he’ll y’all thinking?
