there's this very weird situation created wherein ppl like me & my wife catch ourselves saying, "we're lucky our son has this particular genetic syndrome/disability b/c it's so much easier to get services/SSI, etc." and then realize that no, that doesn't really make us lucky, lol. Deportation flights never stopped. The Biden Admin deported about 1 million people per year. Republicans never talked about that because it didn’t fit their narrative, and Democrats never talked about it because they feared it would anger part of their base. So ignorance ruled.
