Elon Musk talks a lot about free speech. But account suspensions on X have skyrocketed. Elon Musk's X has suspended more accounts, on average, than Twitter ever did.

Musk is for right-wing free speech only. He has banned many liberal accounts. This idea he is for free speech is such a joke.

Whining at a podcast is not being on the side of free speech. Let's see if he actually follows through. Elon claimed he was for free speech and ended up banning liberals left and right. If you want to believe Zuck is some free speech defender then be my guest. This is all political posturing.

Trump was doing this too during his administration. He was asking sites to take down content. What is the right side? You mean he is pandering to the side that won?

Being "in contact with FB about content moderation" is very different to "they were screaming and coercing us to censor information" 😂 At the end of the day, the federal government can always ask for something to be removed and the social media site can just say no. Zuck is being dramatic.

I don't think these things should be done to make moral stands. I left Twitter after Elon took over because I did not like the platform anymore. Same with Threads after the Zuck announcements. If you still like IG, then keep using it!

Exactly but a lot of threads users don't want to move here because they say the "vibes" are not the same. Bluesky takes time to get used to.
