Ben Starr is a treasure, to say AI couldn't hold a candle to that man, or frankly any of the voice cast of that game, would be a severe understatement.

Been playing Final Fantasy X-2 lately.

It's such a goofy and silly game but I love it.

One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

I really liked the FF set, but fucking Marvel and TMNT and the fact that 2026 is going to have more crossover sets than in-universe sets just deflated me on Magic.

For me it’s fighting games and TCGs. The atmosphere of fighting games is also kinda toxic and TCGs are just getting either boring, overly expensive or enshittified.

Might finally get around to the new FF7 games later now that I’m not sinking time into competitive stuff :D

PvP games have now entirely lost their appeal to me.

I can still appreciate fan arts from the franchises, or engaging with them in other ways, but the idea of competing with others in a space that's meant to bring joy is not one I feel like entertaining anymore.
